3D PRINTING AND THE POWER OF POKEMON GO
Posted by Paul Cartwright on
Here at PrintIn3D HQ, we're big fans of Pokemon Go. Therefore, it seemed natural to use 3D printing to make the Pokemon hunt in the Geelong area (where we're based) even more exciting.
We recently hid 14 little 3D printed Pokemon critters at popular Pokestops around Geelong and then waited for the Pokemon hunters to find them and post their pics on our Facebook page.
The response was enormous with the finalists who captured the 3D printers entered into the draw to get a larger version of their Pokemon printed.
The lucky winner was uni student Natasha Dye who got a 10 cm high Bulbasaur for her collection.
We've had heaps of feedback and calls for another hunt. So now the weather is getting better, we've started work on another round of Pokemon Go treasure hunts. Follow us on Facebook to find out when we launch the next hunt.
