The calibre of innovation within our student community is amazing.

On June 23rd, we were delighted to award a desktop 3D printer to Northern Bay SecondaryCollege in Geelong for submitting the highest number of entries to this year's Upstart Challenge.

An impressive 150 plus students from 14 schools chose to take part in the 2016 Big Ideas Competition.  A total of 53 ideas were submitted - 14 of these came from Northern Bay. It's an awesome effort and they are well-deserved recipients of our 3D printer prize.

But that's just the first step. Upstart Challenge judges will now choose six teams to enter the pitching showdown. Those lucky students will then go through a workshop and mentoring process to hone their ideas and skills before presenting their entries to an audience of approximately 200 business people at the Upstart Challenge Annual Business Dinner on August 25.

Best of luck to all involved.
